Counting Crows
Counting Crows
A Note from Adam Duritz: Dear Everyone-Who-Happens-To-Read-This, I know you're all used to showing up at 8:30 or 9PM for concerts that started at 7. It's understandable. You're there to see YOUR band and you're showing up when you think they're gonna play? Well, that's all going to change. Ladies and Gentlemen, at 6PM, when the curtain goes up, Augustana, Michael Franti and Spearhead AND Counting Crows are all going to be walking out onstage together and the show is going to start with EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US onstage singing and playing our brains out. We'll do a few songs together and then it may be Counting Crows that plays the first set alone. I don't know exactly how the shows going to run every night. The only thing I know for sure is that EVERY show on this tour is going to start with EVERYONE onstage together and we're going to all be running on & off stage all night playing on each others songs and playing songs all together. So you get my point, right? GET HERE ON TIME!
Good Old War
Good Old War
Over the past three years, indie-folk trio Good Old War has captivated countless audiences with their acoustic-driven, sing-along-inspiring live performances. Now, with the release of their third full-length record Come Back as Rain (out March 6th, 2012 on Sargent House), the Philadelphia- based band harnesses the high-spirited simplicity that makes their shows so unforgettable. Like Only Way To B...e Alone (Good Old War's 2008 debut) and their 2010 self-titled sophomore effort, Come Back as Rain showcases the delicately textured melodies and multipart harmonies that have become the band's signature. Once again revealing their penchant for infectious folk-pop, Good Old War this time sharpens their sound by infusing Come Back as Rain with the same joyful passion they've ceaselessly brought to the stage.
Filligar
Filligar
Hailed as "one of the best young bands in America," Filligar is the rock n' roll quartet comprised of the three Mathias brothers—Johnny, Pete, and Teddy—and their lifelong friend Casey Gibson. Drawing comparisons to a "young Rolling Stones" and called "the next Kings of Leon," the band gives classic rock their own unique and distinctly modern edge. They've headlined sold out shows at the nation's most acclaimed venues, toured the United Kingdom to wildly enthusiastic audiences, and recently supported both The Black Keys and My Morning Jacket. Their album The Nerve is currently nominated for Best Rock Album at the Independent Music Awards. In December 2011, the powerhouse music blog RSL named Filligar one of the top 8 live acts in the USA, along with fellow Windy City band Wilco.
